Beginning of this year, Facebook added a new feature to its social networking service and that is Skype Video calling through which users can call their Facebook friends free of charge.Rather than Facebook introducing this service to the mobile space this summer we just got this news recently that there’s a new Messenger app of Facebook being tested for making video calls.
It was not until last night that we came to know through iPhoneltalia that Facebook’s this new feature is being developed which incorporates a Skype technology based video feature.

The interface will be user-friendly and will simply allow users to select from their friend’s list and make a video call and the option to answer or deny is given at the receiver’s end.

Apple may watch it closely because we know that Facebook’s active subscribers are almost 3 times the size of Apple’s iTunes account holders. And once this app of Facebook is released, it may be a threat to FaceTime just like iMessage is at risk because of Facebook Messenger as the basic interface of this app, which is subject to change, as for now resembles Apple’s FaceTime interface.
